Welcome to Sea Flower Cafe and Espresso Bar, a delightful gem nestled in the picturesque coastal town of Bodega Bay, California. Located at 2001 CA-1, this cafe offers not just coffee, but a whole experience rich in flavor and warmth. Whether you’re seeking a cozy spot to savor a refreshing beverage or an inviting space to relax outdoors, Sea Flower Cafe delivers.
The first thing that strikes you upon entering is the friendly atmosphere, noted by many patrons. As Anna Dubon shared in her review, the staff here are more than just servers; they create a welcoming community for visitors. The Peach Vanilla Matcha Latte is a must-try, praised for its harmonious blend of flavors, while the cinnamon roll has taken the spotlight for being delightfully moist and full of flavor. It’s no wonder that customers like Anna can’t resist devouring them before snapping a picture!
Another happy visitor, Rick Nerud, describes his encounter with the heart of the cafe—the owner and the barista, Louis. His commendation of their service underscores the cafe’s dedication to customer relationships. The outdoor seating, where patrons can bask in the morning sun as the coastal fog lifts, adds a unique touch that enhances the meal experience.
For those who often find pastries too rich, Jen L was pleasantly surprised by the balance of the cinnamon rolls, which are perfectly crafted—lightly buttery on the outside yet soft and chewy inside. This culinary delight is complemented by a sticky toffee texture in the filling and just the right amount of frosting, avoiding the typical sweetness overload.
Sea Flower Cafe also caters to a range of dietary preferences with a nicely balanced menu that features something for everyone. Melinda Dawn Garren appreciated the variety, whether you’re an omnivore or prefer plant-based options. Her experience, from salads to burritos, showcases the cafe's commitment to quality and flavor, all at reasonable prices.
Additionally, for those visiting with pets, the cafe is pet-friendly, offering outdoor seating where you can enjoy breakfast or a specialty coffee while your furry companion relaxes by your side. Whether you’re stopping by after a drive along the coast or enjoying a day at the nearby beach, Sea Flower Cafe and Espresso Bar is the ideal spot to recharge and indulge in some local delights. With friendly faces, high-quality food, and an inviting atmosphere, this charming cafe will surely become a cornerstone of your visit to Bodega Bay.
“ This cafe is amazing! Per the recommendation of the staff, I got the Peach Vanilla Matcha Latte and it was *chefs kiss*. We also got the cinnamon roll (which I didn't take a picture of because we ate it too quickly). It was moist, flavorful, and overall very delicious! I enjoyed chatting with the staff, who were extremely friendly, and relaxing in the outdoor seating area. Next time I'm in the area, I will definitely be coming back! ”
“ Met the owner running the cash register, she was wonderful. Met the Barista, Louis, the best Barista in the World. The pastries are of equal quality, we had the cinnamon roll. Nice outdoor sitting area to enjoy the coolness of the morning, and the sun just beginning to burn through the coastal fog. Highly recommend! ”
“ Absolutely love love love this place! All the ladies were incredibly warm and welcoming, making the experience even better. The food and lattes are clearly made with love, and the cinnamon rolls are next level. I usually avoid them because they’re too sweet and heavy, but these were the perfect balance—lightly buttery and flaky on the outside, soft and chewy in the middle, with a cinnamon filling that had a delicious sticky toffee texture. The frosting was just right—not overpoweringly sweet. So glad we found this gem—it’ll definitely be our go-to spot whenever we’re in town! ”
“ Little cafe attached to an rv park. We stopped in after salmon creek for breakfast. Plenty of car parking. A little dog pee area, although the signs are confusing because they pointed towards a dirt road which a lot of people think is the walk but it’s actually a fenced in little corner. There were a few tables and a bench for people to sit outside of the cafe. We sat on a table our two dogs on the ground. I didn’t actually go inside, but my husband went into order and they brought it out our egg sandwich and breakfast burrito. We were surprised about the Burrito had a whole hotdog in it. I preferred the egg sandwich but unfortunately I did not have any hot sauce when we asked. The larger Mexican restaurant was not open at that time on Sunday morning so everybody was at the tiny cafe. ”
“ We made an impromptu stop. The inside order area is compact, clean, and nicely decorated. Menu is nicely balanced with a little something for everyone, from omnivores to plant based. Based on location and menu, prices seemed fairly on point. Our food; salad, coffees, burrito, and a pastry were absolutely delicious. We're not local, but do hope to stop in again before we head home. ”
“ April 2025 What a cute place for breakfast. Be aware that there is no indoor seating. The coffee was excellent as were the breakfast croissants. Excellent pastries also. Service was friendly and quick. The location is a bit tricky to find but well worth the effort. Of the 4 places we ate in Bodega bay Sea Flower came in a close #2. ”
“ AMAZING!!! The BEST latte I've ever had! I got an iced cherry vanilla oat milk latte AND a hot bumblebee latte at the recommendation of the manager, Tasha. They were both beautiful and incredibly delicious. The service was amazing, Tasha and Lilly were so sweet and so fast with just the two of them! They also recommended the avocado toast and it was SO GOOD with fresh avocado and arugula. I can't wait to come back!!! ”
“ I took a drive to get a tasty lox and bagel sandwich to enjoy after my hike at Doran beach. In a hurry to order, pick up and go I wanted to stay and enjoy the sunshine and a cup of coffee. I'll be going back! ”
